LE GRAND BAL DE VERSAILLES
The American Friends of Versailles hosts extraordinary benefit events with luminous itineraries, filled with spectacular invitations to the Palace of Versailles, private chateaux, private residences, gardens, art collections, and more. Subscriptions are limited.
Proceeds from these events support the noble endeavor of the restoration and preservation of Versailles for future generations. AFV believes that beauty creates a greater good and benefits the world.
It is important to note that many of the incredible events and rare privileges afforded AFV, are magnanimous gestures of friendship, underwritten by our hosts, in honor of Americans who have taken a special interest in one of the world’s most treasured museums, the Château de Versailles.
To raise necessary funding to help restore the Bosquet des Trois Fontaines, the Pavillon Frais, and the ceiling of the Salle des Gardes de la Reine, the American Friends of Versailles hosted 'Le Grand Bal de Versailles' at the Palace with surrounding private events in Paris and its environs in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2018 and in 2023, as well as in New York City in 2016.
AFV has also donated financial support for the trees after the devastating storm in 1999 at Versailles, the research center, international cultural seminars hosted there, as well as supporting traveling exhibitions of photographs and art from the Château. The American Friends of Versailles is dedicated to maintaining the American support and an active interest in this UNESCO designated world treasure, in order to help preserve its history and beauty for future generations.
